What Happens After You Submit a Page for Approval
Once you've submitted something for review
Once you’ve submitted something for review, here’s what to expect while you wait, and how to check on progress.
Status while pending
The post or page will show a status of “Pending Review” in the relevant list (Posts or Pages). It is not visible to the public at this stage.
If it’s approved
The reviewer publishes it directly, or lets you know it’s been approved. It then becomes visible on the live site as normal.
If changes are needed
Depending on how your site is set up, you may receive a comment or a message outside WordPress (such as an email) explaining what needs adjusting. Make the changes and resubmit using the same “Submit for Review” button.
Tip: If something feels stuck in review for longer than expected, it’s fine to simply check in with whoever approves content on your site – there’s no automatic reminder system by default.
